Keith Williams, chief executive of British Airways, is to stand down from the Iberia board and Rafael Sanchez-Lozano, chief executive of Iberia, is to stand down from the British Airways board in changes announced by IAG.
Keith said: “It was always the intention that Rafael and I should withdraw from each other’s boards once we were through the early phases of the merger. This allows me to spend more time on purely British Airways matters, and I am pleased to welcome Julia Simpson, IAG’s chief of staff, to our board in succession to Rafael.”
Julia, formerly British Airways’ director of communications, will also join the Iberia board to take Keith’s place.
