There promises to be a heated debate over airport expansion in the south east when IAG chief executive Willie Walsh takes part in BBC1’s flagship current affairs show Question Time tonight.

Willie, who has been a vocal opponent of the government’s inaction on the issue, will appear with Susan Kramer, former MP for Richmond Park and a vociferous campaigner against a third runway at Heathrow.

Kramer lost her seat at the last election to an equally energetic opponent of Heathrow expansion, the Conservative Zac Goldsmith.

Other members of the panel are former Chancellor of the Exchequer now the coalition’s Minister without Portfolio Ken Clarke, Shadow Foreign Secretary Douglas Alexander and the journalist Janet Street-Porter.
