Two radio listeners have won their own British Airways plane to jet off to the Med for the weekend – with 49 of their friends.

Jamie Williams and Chloe Sullevan each won the chance to take friends and family off for a long weekend after winning London Capital Radio’s Breakfast Show Competition.

Both Jamie and Chloe had to convince presenters Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon on air that they deserved to win the prize, which included BA exclusive charter flights and hotels.

Jamie, from Shepperton in Middlesex, told the sad story of the death of his goldfish Bob. Since Bob’s demise Jamie explained he’d become a recluse and needed a holiday to get over it.

Chloe, from Sissinghurst in Kent, won after recounting the embarrassment of getting sunburned on day-one of a holiday in Rhodes earlier this year.

After spending days cooped-up in her apartment, she ventured out to a bar where she chatted up a man with the opening line: “do you want to peel my back for me?” He’s now her boyfriend.

Jamie, Chloe and her skin-peeling boyfriend took off from London City Airport – Jamie and friends went to Ibiza and Chloe and co. to Majorca.

BA has extended its popular service to Ibiza and Majorca from London City through the winter with two flights a week on Thursdays and Sundays.
