British Airways yesterday launched its new three-flights-a-day service to Rotterdam The Hague airport from Heathrow Terminal 1.

Rotterdam is the largest port in Europe and and the world’s fourth largest seaport and many of the world’s oil majors, including Shell, BP and Total, have a significant presence there.

The route is also likely to attract leisure traffic thanks to museums with works by Dutch masters such as Rembrandt and many famous Flemish painters, a wide range of places of architectural and historical interest and Rotterdam port excursions and beach attractions such as “Hoek van Holland”, the seaside resort town for Rotterdam

The new Rotterdam service brings to 20 the number of daily BA flights between the UK and the Netherlands and will connect this strong economic region to the airline’s comprehensive worldwide network via Heathrow.
