BA is Britain’s favourite airline, says YouGov

British Airways has overtaken Virgin Atlantic and Emirates to become Britain’s favourite carrier – according to YouGov.

The market research company uses surveys to measure the public perception of hundreds of brands everyday, drawing its data from seven different measurement systems.

It shows this time last year BA was trailing the other two airlines, but has since overtaken them to finish 2012 with an index score of 27.9 compared with Virgin Atlantic’s 26.5 and Emirate’s 21.2.

BA overtook Virgin during London 2012 and has continued to draw away.
