British Airways has taken on the ramp and baggage-handling contract for American Airlines at Heathrow Terminal 3. The deal came into effect on February 1, 2013.
“The five-year, multi-million pound contract further strengthens our joint business with AA at Heathrow and is a great example of how we can work effectively with our airline partners to drive revenue and create value for our customers,” said operations director Andy Lord.
The contract also includes ground-handling services at T3 for JAL, Royal Jordanian and EVA Air’s daily flights, previously covered by AA.
“It is also a testament to the consistently high performance levels of the Heathrow Ops team, and the T3 Ramp Services team in particular.
“I would like to congratulate everyone involved. It is a terrific achievement and I know you will deliver a world-class service to American Airlines’ operation and customers just as you do for BA,” said Andy.
