Musician and presenter Myleene Klass is helping to promote British Airways’ summer schedule which starts this weekend.

Myleene braved the cold outside BA’s Heathrow Engineering base to pose in a bikini and encourage people to beat the freezing weather by jetting off somewhere warm.

New services from Gatwick start to Tenerife on March 29 and to Alicante and Lanzarote on March 31. Flights from Heathrow to Palma also begin on March 31 and to Ibiza from April 27. London City airport will also benefit from a new BA flight to Granada in Spain from July 25.

In addition, BA starts two new long-haul destinations this season with flights from Gatwick to Sri Lanka starting on April 14 and services from Heathrow to Chengdu in China beginning on September 22.

The airline is also increasing the number of flights it has to Amman, Shanghai, Beirut, Nairobi, Hyderabad, Boston, Phoenix, Jeddah, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro and Toronto over the summer.

The summer schedule also heralds some terminal moves. Flights to and from Dusseldorf, Toulouse, Zagreb, Leeds Bradford and Almaty from Heathrow’s Terminal 1 to Terminal 5 and Larnaca, Singapore and Sydney from Terminal 3 into Terminal 5.

And though it might not feel like it, British Summer Time actually begins in the UK this Sunday March 31 when the clocks go forward one hour
