British Airways is to add an additional weekday flight to Jersey to further improve services for customers flying between the popular Channel Islands and London Gatwick. From next summer (March 2014) customers will be able to fly from London Gatwick to Jersey on the improved frequency when weekday flights increase from five to six a day.

The extra daily flight has added an extra 650 seats a week, which means there are almost 5,000 weekly seats available to customers.

Colm Lacy, head of commercial at Gatwick, said: “British Airways first started flying to Jersey nearly 80 years ago so it’s great news that we are increasing frequency by offering our customers up to six flights a day with our new additional service.

“This conveniently timed sixth flight will significantly boost our schedule to give customers added flexibility, improved connection times to onward flights into Europe and a greater choice of departures.

“It also underscores British Airways’ commitment to providing an unbeatable service with quality UK regional links, great low fares and a fantastic frequency, to customers flying between Jersey and London Gatwick.”

Flight numbers have been changed to make the frequency improvements easier to understand for customers.
