British Airways brought the exciting sight and sound of Spanish culture and tradition to London City Airport to mark the start of flights to the historic region of Granada. passengers on yesterday’s inaugural flight were treated to a special performance of Flamenco music and dancing. Luke Hayhoe, general manager commercial at London City said: “We are delighted to have added this exciting destinations to our schedule from London City.
“Granada has a wealth of cultural and historic interest yet, before today, people currently couldn’t fly direct from the UK.
“The Granada flights will also complement our Malaga service, which is so popular that we are also increasing frequency there from four to six flights a week from today (July 25).”
Flights to Granada will operate on a 98-seat Embraer 190 jet four days a week, with an additional flight during the summer. Flights will operate all year round and is the only direct service between the UK and Granada
