The new British Airways service to Dusseldorf took off from London City Airport this week.

The three-a-day well-timed flights will make it possible to do a day’s business in both Dusseldorf and London. Flights will be operated by a 50-seat Saab 2000 aircraft.

As well as being an important business centre, Dusseldorf is also known for its arts. It is home to the Academy of Fine Arts and every year over four million visitors attend the largest funfair on the Rhine river.

Matthew Hall, chief commercial officer at London City Airport said: “With the majority of London City Airport passengers travelling on business, we are delighted that British Airways has launched direct services to the key business destination of Dusseldorf.”
