Each year a review of the Zonal Employee Discount (ZED) fares takes place by the IATA Staff Travel Group. The fares apply to travel on BA and other ZED carriers.

There are 3 ZED fare levels, Zonal Low(ZL) which is the lowest fare, Zonal Medium (ZM) and Zonal High (ZH) which is the highest fare.

For travel on BA, the ZL fare applies. For travel on the other ZED airlines, either ZL, the ZM or the ZH fare level applies. Special fares apply in some circumstances on Qantas.

The fare adjustments will be effective from 01 November 2013 and will apply to bookings made or tickets issued on or after this date for travel on BA and the other ZED airlines.

The table below shows the comparisons between the old and new one way ZED fares. A copy of the fares matrix which shows the routes and applicable fares can be found in the staff travel FAQ ‘What are the basic standby concession fares?’ and also in the Staff travel guide.
