British Airways’ operation got off to a good start this morning following severe storms across the UK.

Like other airlines at Heathrow, BA has complied with a request from Heathrow Airport to reduce its flying schedule today to keep the airport running as smoothly as possible during the extreme weather conditions.
The airline has cancelled a small number of short-haul round-trip flights this morning. Other flights are experiencing some minor delays.

Long-haul flights into and out of London Heathrow are planned to operate as normal, with some minor delays due to the poor weather.

Colleagues are thanked for their efforts in getting to work this morning and for looking after customers.

Customers are being advised to keep checking online before leaving for the airport. Customers on cancelled flights are being offered a rebook or full refund. Customers, whose flights are still operating, but who no longer wish to travel on Monday can rebook to a later date.

Schedules at London Gatwick are running as normal with no predetermined cancellations.
