Hundreds of runners descended on BA’s headquarters at Waterside for the airline’s annual charity fun run, raising more than £11,000 for Cancer Research UK.
The event, which is now in its sixteenth year, saw more than 300 adults run the five kilometre course, and 85 children run a ‘little legs’ race.
Runners and spectators were entertained by X-Factor and I’m a Celebrity contestant Stacey Solomon, who performed a selection of classic hits. Stacey said: “Cancer Research UK is such an amazing charity. Cancer affects all of us and it’s great to be part of something, raising awareness and raising money.”
The men’s race was won by Adam Moquet, with a time of 17 minutes and 36 seconds, while Lindsey Carr was the quickest woman round the course, with a time of 25 minutes 10 seconds.
