British Airways has been named best long-haul and short-haul airline by readers of The Times and The Sunday Times. The papers observed the accolade was chose by readers who had ‘chosen to reward quality rather than vote solely on economy’.

“They like the fact that British Airways has exclusive use (along with sister airline Iberia) of the smart, spacious Terminal 5 at Heathrow, they also like the reassurance of knowing that on short-haul flights, they are not going to be flown into a low-cost airport miles from their final destination”, it reported.

“The £5bn investment over five years in new aircraft and greater comfort meant that to our readers, it seems that British Airways is still the world’s favourite airline”.
