BA has announced plans to start flying to Billund in Denmark – the home of Lego.

The new year-round service will begin on May 3, 2016.

Airbus A319 and A320s will serve the eleven flights a week to Denmark’s second busiest airport, with flights departing from Terminal 5.

Neil Cottrell head of planning, said: “We’re really pleased to introduce a new Scandinavian destination to our extensive European route network. We wanted to increase our presence in west Denmark as a number of Danish companies have offices in the UK and the flights have been well incorporated into our hub at Heathrow, to give passengers more connection options and shorter transfer times.”

Customers can currently fly with British Airways to Billund from London City and Manchester through the airline’s franchise partner Sun-Air.

Prices will start from £120 return for Euro Traveller and £254 for Club Europe.
