Fit to hover, but not to fly

British Airways is banning recreational hover boards, air wheels and solo wheels on board its aircraftThe decision to ban the items is based on a number of negative press reports relating to their poor product quality and potential fire risk.

The items are now banned in both carry on hand baggage and checked hold luggage.

Only a very small number of customers who have already made arrangements with Corporate Safety will be allowed to carry them in the cabin (approval will be shown in the customer’s PNR).

Corporate Safety and Security will update ba.com and review its position if and when additional information becomes available.
