From next year, colleagues travelling on standby will no longer have to wait in the staff travel room to find out if they’ve secured a seat on their flight when departing from Terminal 5.

A new tool, called Staff Travel Tracker, will launch in the New Year, enabling colleagues with a mobile device to check their onload status from their phone or tablet.

Lots of feedback has been given in the past and colleagues have been asking for access to the onload screens from their mobile phones or tablets. This new service will help improve the staff travel process for colleagues and their travel nominees, allowing them to check their onload status from anywhere in the airport.

Colleagues can access the onload pages via idtravel.ba.com and can log into their booking using their PNR and flight number. Flight information will be available from two hours before the time of departure and one hour after the estimated time of departure. The pages will automatically refresh every 30 seconds to ensure colleagues are kept up to date with the latest information. The information on the tracking tool will be exactly the same as the onload screens in the staff travel room and will advise colleagues if they are accepted, not accepted or if they have to visit the red or the blue desk.
