British Airways has extended its codeshare with Japan Airlines (JAL), so customers will now be able to book tickets from Frankfurt to Tokyo direct on ba.com for travel from May 1. The move gives customers more flexibility between Europe and Japan and improves connectivity for passengers travelling beyond both hub cities.
Customers participating in British Airways’ executive club programme can earn frequent flyer points on these new codeshare flights and additional benefits include online booking capability, integrated customer support and check-in online, and access to flight information on the BA app.
Sean Doyle, British Airways’ Head of Alliances and Joint Business, said: “We are proud to have served Japan for more than 60 years and are delighted to further cement the relationship between British Airways and Japan Airlines through this codeshare expansion.”
To celebrate the launch, British Airways is offering flights with prices starting from €634 in Economy and €1444 in Premium Economy including taxes and charges.
British Airways codeshares with JAL on over 30 different routes including flights to Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo and Okinawa.
