More than 75,000 readers of The Daily Telegraph have named British Airways the best Short-Haul airline in the world at the 2015-16 Telegraph Travel Awards.
It’s the fifth year in a row that BA has won the award, which was presented by TV and radio personality Gyles Brandreth at the ceremony, introduced by Charles Starmer-Smith, The Telegraph’s Head of Travel. Guests at the event included John Simpson, Martin Bell, Michael Buerk and Kate Adie.
The airline beat Swiss and Icelandair into second and third place respectively.
