It is with regret that we announce the death of Rose Gowlett who will be well known to many former staff.Rose joined British European Airways on 2nd August 1960, eventually becoming Welfare Officer, a position that she loved, and when British European Airways and British Overseas Airways Corporation merged Rose went on to work at the Airways Pension Scheme.

She retired from British Airways on 30th April 1987 but then joined The British Airways Benefit Office, now Personal Plane Service, and she also went on to become  Chairman of the British Airways retired Staff Liaison Council and Chairman of the British Airways Retired Staff Association, both positions which she held for several years until finally retiring and being made President Emeritus of Retired Staff Association.

Rose’s funeral will take place at Slough Crematorium on Wed 13th April at 11 am.
