Launched in T5 in February, the Staff Travel Tracker has since rolled out to Terminal 3 and is now the go-to tool for colleagues to track their onload status on all Heathrow standby bookings.
The tracker replaces the staff travel room onload screens and allows colleagues to check their status while on the move.
“It’s a useful tool,” said one colleague. “I sat in the bar and refreshed the web page every few minutes. 70 minutes before departure, the tracker showed the status as ‘onloaded’ so I went to the BA app and saw I had been allocated a seat.”
To help colleagues arriving at T5 with a standby ticket, additional signage has been installed at desks A5, A6 and outside the old T5 staff travel room. If the Staff Travel Tracker suffers a system outage, colleagues can check their status by visiting any bag drop desk.
